What To Take To University
What Will You Need at University?
When moving into your student accommodation, there are a few essentials worth packing to make sure you feel at home from day one. For your bedroom, you will need a duvet, pillows, and bed linen, along with coat hangers, an alarm clock, and a bedside or desk lamp. A fused four-way extension lead is always handy too, and if you are an international student, remember to bring a UK adaptor.
In the kitchen, make sure you have saucepans, cutlery, plates and bowls, mugs and drinking glasses, and a set of Tupperware for storing leftovers. Washing-up liquid and a dishcloth will also come in useful from the very first day.
For laundry and cleaning, pack some laundry detergent, a washing basket, bin bags, bathroom cleaner, and an iron to keep on top of things. A vacuum cleaner and air freshener will help keep your space fresh and tidy throughout the year.
WHAT YOU NEED TO CHECK-IN
Here’s some easy steps to get you checked in:
- Identification: Don’t forget to pack a form of photo identification such as your Passport or Driver’s License. You’ll need it at check in.
- Getting Here: Traffic will be busy on move in day and parking may be limited at your property, so plan ahead. Research the best routes and make sure you know where you’re going.
- Meet the Team: Your property team will be on hand on move in day to answer any of your queries and to help you settle in. We’re here to help!
- Your Welcome Pack: We’ve put together a welcome pack which you will receive when you arrive. Take the time to read it and familiarise yourself with the information, as it is there to help you settle in.
