Cheltenham is small enough to get around on foot, with the town centre, Montpellier and Pittville all within easy walking distance of each other. Stagecoach West runs the main local bus network, connecting the town centre with the university campuses, the railway station and nearby Gloucester. Cheltenham Spa railway station offers regular services to Bristol, Birmingham and London, and the M5 motorway sits within a mile of the town for anyone travelling by car.
