University of Lincoln
The University of Lincoln is a modern university that has a great reputation for providing the highest level of quality to students. This is a university that has a focus on careers, helping students through inspirational teachers and strong links to a range of industries. This means that students can take advantage of access to specific careers and expert guidance during their studies and post-graduation.
The university has invested over £375 million over the past 20 years, building modern lecture halls and collaborative workspaces, alongside a purpose-built Medical School and 24/7 library. Alongside the brilliant facilities and a campus that is easy to access and get around, there is also a great team of support services agents on site to help with the many challenges that students may face when living away from home for the first time. It’s a beautiful university with plenty going for it, and a dedicated staff that helps students to realise their potential.
Lincoln Bishop University
Bishop Grosseteste University only recently changed its name officially. It became Lincoln Bishop University in September 2025, at the start of the latest academic year. Lincoln Bishop University is a university that does well with support services, being shortlisted for awards as recently as 2023. Before it became a university, it was a teacher training college, dating back 160 years. The success led to expansion to offer a wide range of higher educational courses, gaining official university status in 2012. It has one green and pleasant campus on site, a mix of modern learning facilities and some of the gorgeous historic sites in the city.
Students can take a walk through the beautiful green spaces, just a short walk away from the Old Roman City, the castle, and the Cathedral. The main hub and vibrant city centre is just 25 minutes’ walk away, but the public transport links are great, so it is easy for every student to get to where they need to be. The Students’ Union is a vibe, somewhere you can find your crowd and relax between lectures, or head to in the evening for a night out. There are also plenty of interesting clubs and societies that you can join to make new friends and find new and exciting hobbies.
