Clearing is a process that runs from 5 July to 21 October 2024, allowing you to apply for university courses that still have available places. 

Who is Eligible for Clearing?

Any student who doesn’t hold an offer from their university choices can apply for clearing. If you do have an offer and change your mind about it, then you can self-release your offer before accepting an offer through clearing. 

You are also eligible for clearing if you have applied after the deadline of June 30th. Regardless of what reason you might be going through clearing, there are plenty of options waiting for you.

When can I start the Clearing Process?

You can start contacting universities as soon as you get your A-level results which is the 15th of August. If you notice that your grades have fallen short for you to be able to secure an unconditional offer in your firm choice or you have outdone your predicted grades and want to consider other options, you need to start the process as soon as you get your results.

The most common way to contact the university is by ringing them up on the number which will be available on their website.If you are not able to call them, then visit the UCAS website to find out other options available to you.

4. Be confident and Pitch Yourself
